The IEEE Signal Processing Society is the world’s premier professional society for signal processing scientist and professionals since 1948.Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information.
SPS serves its members through high quality publications, conference, technical and educational activities, and leadership opportunities.
Its goal is to keep members abreast of the latest information and to serve the public at large.
The signal processing address the theory and application of filtering, coding, transmitting, estimating, detecting, analyzing, recognizing, synthesizing, recording, and reproducing signals by digital or analog devices or techniques. The term “signal” includes audio, video, speech, image, communication, geophysical, sonar, radar, medical, musical, and other signals.
The SPS Student Chapter at the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS) was established on January 27, 2010 and aims to organize a student’s activities related to the signal processing fields (text, speech, image, video). The SPS Student Chapter at ENIS holds committee meetings and organizes technical events to form our students in the signal processing fields which allow them to broaden their knowledge, to establish relations with their foreigner mates and to facilitate the contact of students with the industrial companies.
In addition to that, social events are organized allowing them to get to know each other and exchange ideas. By these, you will be benefit not only as a student but also as a professional by enlarging your knowledge and developing your career.
We cooperate with the ENIS Student Branch and the IEEE Chapters at ENIS to organize seminars, lectures, workshops, Student Paper Contests (SPC) and competitions.
